Congrats to local Italian favorite, Sunset Restaurant in Glen Burnie-they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.  In 1960, Joseph Fratt purchased a lounge featuring slot machines with live bands and entertainment. After slots were outlawed in Anne Arundel County, The Sunset transformed into one of the best Italian restaurants in AA county and has long been a neighborhood favorite. "We made it! The whole family has done a pretty great job keeping The Sunset running," said Joseph's son Arthur "Otts" Fratt. "Thank you to all of the people who have been coming here for 50 years. We couldn't have done it without you!" With over 50 entrée options, the restaurant is known for their generous portions and their specialty--cream of crab soup. The Sunset is located at 625 Greenway Road in Glen Burnie. For more info, call 410-768-1417 or go to SunsetRestaurant.com.

Congrats to Richard and Renee dsouza from Sweet Sin Bakery. Their biz is growing-we're talking leaps and bounds! Their amazing gluten free products can now be found in Whole Foods --across the Atlantic, Wegmans, Harrah's Casino in Vegas, Panache Catering and in major hospitals and colleges. Go check out their chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies, chocolate mousse (my all time fave), muffins and breads. AND-they recently opened the Sweet Sin Café -next to the bakery at 123 West 27th Street, which has become wildly popular. And---they recently welcomed their first child-an absolutely gorgeous baby named Mario- whom they lovingly refer to as Super Mario. Like their fab food, Mario is delicious! Call Richard at 410-464-7211 and go to GlutenFreeDesserts.com.
