Stopped off at Gore Dean Antiques in Mt. Washington for the kick-off of Cameo Caterings new, at-home entertaining division, Cameo Appearance. "The new ballroom is the backyard," says Cameo Catering's Larry Schwartz, Vice President, Off-Premise Catering Sales and Operations. "Even if most homeowners are not gourmet cooks, their kitchen space often replicates those of professional chefs.  What better way to showcase your home, as well as your personal warmth, than to have a reliable partnership with Cameo catering," he says. Cameo Appearance, the name of the new division, is intended to be just that - a 'cameo' while the host is the star and the home is center stage for all at-home entertaining events.  CameoCaterers.com

They're ba-ack. Suburban House Delicatessen Restaurant - also known as S&H-has been in biz for over 45 years. After a fire last year-they've re-opened in a new location at 1700 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville. Mom Rom's fave is the homemade coddies. Mine? The potato pancakes and the matzoh ball soup. I've spent many a day sharing a meal with FSM'S Linda Roth and her mom-kind of a  home away from home. And LOVE the lady servers-they've been there for eons and they are fabulous!
